Application Guide

Application Method 1. Surface Preparation: Steel with oxide scale: Sandblast to Sa2.5 grade. Steel without oxide scale: Sandblast to Sa2.5 grade or grind with an elastic grinding wheel to St3 grade. Steel coated with shop primer: Perform secondary rust removal at damaged and rusted areas, and grind with an elastic grinding wheel to St3 grade. 2. Application Conditions: The substrate temperature must be at least 3°C higher than the dew point temperature. The relative humidity should not exceed 85%. 3. Coating Methods: Thinner: Chlorinated rubber thinner (for both airless and air spraying). Dilution ratio: 10-20% (for airless spraying); 25-30% (for air spraying). Nozzle diameter: 0.4-0.5mm (for airless spraying); 2.0-3.0mm (for air spraying). Spray pressure: 15-20Mpa (about 150-200 Kg/cm² for airless spraying); 0.3-0.6Mpa (about 3-6 Kg/cm² for air spraying). Cleaning agent: Chlorinated rubber thinner. 4. Recommended Number of Coating Passes: Two passes, with a dry film thickness of 60-80um. 5. Coating Interval: At 5°C substrate temperature, the minimum interval is 12 hours; at 20°C, it is 8 hours; at 30°C, it is 6 hours. There is no maximum interval limit. 6. Subsequent Matching Paints: Chlorinated rubber intermediate paint and chlorinated rubber topcoat.
