Application Guide

Surface Preparation Steel or metal surfaces shall be dry, clean and free from oil, dust, mill scale and loose rust. Use the specified hand-tool, power-tool or blast-cleaning grade according to the coating system and service environment.
Application Environment Apply with application temperature 5-40 deg C; relative humidity <= 85%; substrate temperature at least 3 deg C above the dew point; adequate ventilation; mixed two-component material used within its pot life.
Application Method Apply by airless spray, air spray, spray, brush, roller. Recommended dry film thickness: approx.50microns. Use compatible thinner/cleaner such as approved epoxy thinner where specified. Mix, thin and recoat according to site conditions and the coating system requirements.

Export & Storage Notes

Packaging 20:2.5
Safety Confirm substrate condition, compatibility, mixing ratio and application environment before large-area work. Protect from freezing, rain, contamination and direct exposure before the film is fully dry. Do not use material that has exceeded its pot life or has gelled after mixing. Store sealed in a cool, dry and ventilated place and dispose of waste according to local regulations.

Product FAQ

Can I request the current TDS and SDS for Epoxy Zinc Phosphate Primer?

Yes. Contact the Qilu Paints export team with the product name, destination country, substrate, coating system, and application environment to confirm current TDS/SDS, packaging, and export requirements.

How should Epoxy Zinc Phosphate Primer be selected for an export project?

Confirm substrate preparation, exposure environment, target durability, compatible primer/intermediate/topcoat, destination-market documentation, and dangerous-goods classification before quotation or shipment.

What should be checked before applying Epoxy Zinc Phosphate Primer?

Check surface cleanliness, surface profile, ambient temperature, substrate temperature, dew point, relative humidity, ventilation, mixing requirements, and recoat interval before application.

What should be checked before applying Epoxy Zinc Phosphate Primer?

Confirm substrate cleanliness, surface profile, dew point, ambient temperature, humidity, and compatibility with the primer or topcoat in the coating system.

How should Epoxy Zinc Phosphate Primer be mixed and applied?

Stir thoroughly before use. For multi-component products, mix base and curing agent according to the current TDS, observe induction time and pot life, and only thin with the recommended thinner.

How should unopened Epoxy Zinc Phosphate Primer be stored?

Store in sealed original containers in a cool, dry, ventilated place away from heat, sparks, and direct sunlight. Confirm shelf life and packaging with the current TDS/SDS before shipment.

What safety precautions are required during application?

Use suitable PPE, provide ventilation, keep away from ignition sources, and follow the current SDS for handling, fire protection, first aid, and waste disposal.
